Guidelines for Council submissions

All submissions to Council must be in the requisite format, accompanied by the Council Proforma Cover Sheet (Word .docx, 62KB) and cleared with the signature of the relevant Principal Officer and the Vice-Chancellor.

All papers submitted should :

  • not be unduly lengthy
  • should stand alone
  • be concise, and
  • contain only the key information needed for Council to make informed decisions.

Any attachments should be kept to a minimum with the emphasis being on commentary in the main body of the paper.

The authors of the papers are encouraged to provide web link addresses when they wish to direct Council members to detailed sources of externally available information.

Senior Management Officers/Council members are encouraged to request that additional source documents are placed on the Meeting Information Manager System (MIMS), but these additions will be for wide reference and will not be considered to be designated Council papers.
