About Amanda Genders

Amanda is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute for Sport & Health.

She obtained her PhD from the University of Tasmania, and has previously worked at the University of Virginia and Deakin University.

Her current research interests lie in understanding the mechanisms that mediate exercise-induced changes in mitochondria.

Additionally, Amanda is interested in how exercise is able to benefit, and reduce insulin resistance.

Qualifications

  • BSc (Hons), University of Tasmania, Australia
  • PhD, University of Tasmania, Australia
