In this unit students examine the cell as the structural and functional unit of the whole organism. Students investigate the needs of individual cells, how specialised structures carry out cellular activities and how the survival of cells depends on their ability to maintain a dynamic balance between their internal and external environments. This unit is delivered in year 11.
Demonstration of 'Satisfactory completion' by a selection of Assessment tasks and Level of Performance by SAC (Tests) and Exams.
Lecturer will provide teaching and learning materials as required in the form of VU produced workbooks.
This unit is not compulsory for any specific course. Depending on the course you study, this unit may be taken as an elective.
