This unit focuses on the ways writers construct their work and how meaning is created for and by the reader. Students consider how the form of text (such as poetry, prose, drama, non-print or combinations of these) affects meaning and generates different expectations in readers, the ways texts represent views and values and comment on human experience, and the social, historical and cultural contexts of literary works. This unit is delivered in Year 12.
Demonstration of 'Satisfactory completion' by a selection of Assessment tasks and Level of Performance by SAC (Tests) and Exams .
Lecturer will provide teaching and learning materials as required in the form of VU produced workbooks.
This unit is not compulsory for any specific course. Depending on the course you study, this unit may be taken as an elective.
