Business Law

This unit will adopt self-paced learning where students participate in learning activities online across the block. Students will be able to conduct learning activities at a time that suits them provided the learning activities are completed by the required time. This unit will adopt a student-centred learning model where learning comes from network of relationships between instructors, peers, and industry sources. It is expected that students allocate approximately 20 hours per week for online activities and independent study.

This is a student-centred unit of study where students begin to develop skills required for managing their own time in completing set readings, further research, assessment tasks and other learning activities. Students are supported through regular on-campus contact sessions, such as lectures, tutorials and workshops and are expected to participate in these. For every contact hour it is expected that students will undertake another five hours of self-directed work per week.

This unit is delivered in a block delivery model which allows students to take responsibility for their learning by accessing resources and completing activities using a combination of in person and on-line real-time facilitated sessions that progresses and applies the learning; and on-line real-time delivery. Teaching and learning strategies used may include: presentations, practical case studies; project or group work. On-line real-time sessions will be facilitated through the use of the Zoom and VU Collaborate technologies to maintain remote connection with students; providing synchronous presentation of learning material and following on students’ progress; then supplementing this with an asynchronous work, such as question/answer period, remote support and study guidance.
