Michael Leunig spoke to a packed Professional Writing and Editing 'classroom' at the Toniq Bar on 4 June 2009.
Over 200 people came to hear Michael talk with VU's Bruno Lettieri and the State Library's Paul Bateman about his work and life as a cartoonist, poet and artist.
For an hour, Michael reflected on what it takes to find creativity, about the divine in us all, and about the 'twinkle in the eye'. Questions from the audience took over the next half hour.
The session was followed by Professional Writing and Editing Comedy Writing students braving the floor with the first performances of their stand-up pieces.
