About Kara Dadswell

Kara is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology in the College of Sport, Health and Engineering, and Research Fellow in the Institute of Health and Sport at Victoria University.

Kara is also the Chair of the Bachelor of Psychological Studies (Honours) Course.

Kara has research expertise in understanding young people who misuse fire, and strategies and approaches for prevention and intervention. Kara also conducts research into physical activity and sport promotion, and increasing the representation of girls and women in leadership roles within the sport sector. She also supervises honours and masters students in completing their research theses related to these topic areas.

Teaching activities & experience

Kara is a Teaching and Research Academic in the College of Health and Biomedicine. She is the Unit Convenor of APP2014 Psychology 2B and APP3016 Group Behaviour. Kara also teaches a range of undergraduate psychology units in the psychology undergraduate courses at VU, and supervises honours and masters students in completing their research theses.
