About Sharna Spittle
Sharna is a Senior Lecturer of Physical Education and Health at Victoria University. She is also the Research Leader for the Skill and Development group in IHES (Institute for Health and Sport).
Sharna’s current research focuses on motor development in children, sport pedagogy, and a range of aspects associated with confidence and motivation in sport and physical education. Sharna has experience evaluating of sport and physical education programs, including projects supporting Victorian Sport and Recreation funded by the Department of Health and Human Services.
She has also worked with a number of sporting organisations, such as the AFL (Australian Football League), to review and develop coaching curriculum for the junior participation programs. In addition, Sharna has developed and delivered curriculum for use of junior coaches in India (Punjab State Institute of Sport).
